Regular visitors to the site know that I’m highly keen to improving my day-to-day efficiencies in life, particularly when it comes to my use of technology. Seconds turn into minutes and minutes turn into extra tasks being completed by the time the day is through. Consequently, I’m always on the look-out for any piece of software that can improve upon my current level of efficiency.

Edgeless 2 is a free Windows utility that removes the boundaries, or edges, of your computing desktop. When running, Edgeless allows for the mouse cursor to wrap around the screen, both in the horizontal and vertical space. If your mouse is on the left-hand side of your desktop – rather than dragging the cursor to access an item on the right side of the desktop you can instead drag the cursor further left until it jumps or teleports to the right-hand side.

Configuration options are quite sparse, as you can probably imagine. Edgeless 2 does have the capability to enable or disable the vertical or horizontal wrapping independently if that so fits your work-flow. Additionally, the application can be configured to launch on Windows Startup but oddly it did not maintain my wrapping preference. Instead, it defaulted to All upon launch – a minor, if not odd quirk to an otherwise effective piece of software.

Edgeless 2 is compatible with all iterations of Windows and additionally supports dual monitors. However, it was not tested in such a configuration.
