Finding yourself having to convert units of energy, area, or length and want a painless way to accomplish it? Previously, performing a Google search, of all things, was typically the fastest way to determine what 35 Celsius was in Fahrenheit but were you aware that the built-in calculator in Windows 7 can provide just the same, and a whole lot more?
The Windows calculator has been a staple accessory application with every release of Windows but it wasn’t until Windows 7 that it was restyled and enhanced with additional features. You can see all these new features under the View menu header inside Calculator.
Switching to Unit conversion from the drop-down or the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+U will expand the calculator layout to include a whole whack of unit conversion types. In our example, one of which is Temperature.
Selecting Temperature as well as the from and to units it’s quick to return that 35C equals 95F
Temperature is a rather practical conversion but Windows calculator can also provide such eccentric things such as the number of milliseconds in 3 days – 259200000 incidentally. Who know? You did – thanks to the Windows 7 calculator.
