I would never proclaim myself as a heavy Microsoft Excel user, nor even proficient for that matter. However, I do find myself in and out of the application throughout the week. What does this mean? Well, that I use Excel enough to become annoyed with a few things of course! Much of my work-flow consists of multiple worksheets within each Excel document. It becomes quite tedious to lift your hands off the keyboard in order to flip to another worksheet by using the mouse. As a continued huge fan of keyboard shortcuts I did a quick digging on whether it was possible to switch sheets in that manner. As of late, Microsoft has done a grand job of providing keyboard shortcuts for operations across Windows and other applications. I was happy to find that that was also the case here. Really, if you take the time to learn and incorporate just a few keyboard shortcuts you will be amazed at how efficient you can become. I promise!

SHIFT + F11 to create a new worksheet.

CTRL + Home to move to the beginning of a worksheet.

SHIFT + Spacebar to select the entire row of the selected cell.

CTRL + Spacebar to select the entire column of the selected cell.

CTRL + A to select the entire worksheet contents.

ALT + F1 to chart the current selection.
