Seek and yee shall find with Seeqpod

Ready for the next RIAA target? Seeqpod is a search engine specializing in media files, copyrighted or not, that are hosted on the Web. The service is interesting but one has to wonder how long can it last? While being a search engine and not technically housing the material, it does allow you to play music it finds, hence their tagline “playable search.” Will the DMCA come into effect? Seeqpod think’s not:

SeeqPod operates like a search engine technology company and social network combined. SeeqPod adheres to the DMCA (Digital Millennium Copyright Act).

Fair enough, I suppose. One thing’s for sure, the service is great. Check out this gem Play that Funky Wii, a Vanilla Ice/Nintendo mashup by DJ BC. How cool. Word to your mother!
