MonitorES simplifies your end-of-day routine

I am a creature of routines and habits; my day is rather structured and my processes throughout that structured day are highly predictable. I guess you could say I would be quite easy to stalk! One of the routines that I go about at the end of my work day consists of stopping playback on iTunes, locking my PC, and turning off the monitor. That’s a pretty commonplace scenario for any office worker I would think. Furthermore, I’m a huge fan of automation and efficiency – a predictable routine harmonizes quite well with that trait. That’s where a tool like MonitorES shines.

MonitorES is a tiny free Windows utility that does a few things that helps streamline my end of day processing. MonitorES will switch your monitor off automatically when you PC is locked – using the CTRL+ALT+DEL method. Handy, but perhaps not worth the process of downloading and installing the application. The software can also automatically pause your music playback and set you away on the various IM platforms. Interested now? It is enough to sway me.
